Alella
Alella is one of Spain’s smallest wine growing regions where quality wine making coexists with the bustle of Barcelona’s suburbs. This region’s sandy soil (“sauló”) retains solar heat well, which helps the fruit to mature.
Alella’s six wineries are best known for their white wines often blended from the local grape varieties : Pansa Blanca/Xarell.lo, Garnacha, Chardonnay and Macabeo. The wines are typically light, aromatic and well balanced with traces of different fruit. |
